If life is a highway, then Explorabout connects you to the road less traveled– a better way to experience life.
My road took a detour when we converted my parents’ custom built home into a vacation rental property. I frequently traveled from my job in coastal Connecticut to the cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains. While researching local activities for our guests, I realized how hard it was to find unique activities in lesser-known areas. I dove deep to find secret places–hikes that led to cascading waterfalls–or, a horseback riding excursion and afternoon of apple picking. The area offers a treasure trove of hands-on crafting, ideal fishing spots, and picturesque trails.
This one life detour, led me on an adventure—one I needed to share. I founded Explorabout to be different by design. We’re all looking to live deeply, to experience hidden gems, to create lasting memories. How do you find these experiences? Explorabout links you to quiet harbors filled with salty sea air, dappled sunlight, and a hearty portion of seafood chowder. From sled-dog rides in Alaska with the Northern Lights as a backdrop to a 6-hour cruise in Sarasota enveloped in the Florida sunshine with soaring seabirds, Explorabout takes you there. Our focus is to provide guests, of all ages and fitness levels, a way to discover unique local experiences whether near home or on vacation.
