Our most Popular Paddle!

Duration

4 Hour

About

This paddle has changed a little bit since the City of Melbourne has invested the time and money to clean up a long section of the creek from non-native and invasive plants. Before we had to stop before the Babcock Ave Bridge, but now we can go up as far as the golf course. The interesting thing is we can watch the landscape change from the non-natives back to a more natural stretch of the creek.

We launch from Front St. Boat Ramp and paddle around the point on the Indian River Lagoon. Once we make the turn into the creek, we'll pass through the harbor area and under the train tracks, passing Melbourn's river frontage. Along the way you will likely see some dolphins, manatees, maybe an alligator or two, otters, and birds to many to list.

This paddle is suitable for all skill levels. The distance traveled is approximately 5 miles on an out and back course.

This trip includes the use of a sit-on kayak, all needed equipment (i.e., paddle, personal floatation device (PFD), and a guide. While tips are greatly appreciated, they are not required
